About
Having been born in part of Nigeria where majority are poor. I came from a family that can afford three square meals but all around me are people who are struggling to survive. 90% living below poverty level always leave me with the thought of how can they survive? What can I do to make life better for them.
During my master studies in India, I keep thinking about those who have the talent but do not have enabling environment to develop their talent.
As a masters student in Psychology, I decided to think on how I can nurture talents from poor background. During Assam Don Bosco University Musical Night which was my first musical night as a student of Assam Don Bosco University, I presented a music composed by me which was themed appreciation to god for his love and opportunity give to me to see and develop myself. I recognized that the life I have was not by choice but by chance, by destiny and this I think is an opportunity to use it for the service of humanity.
During my presentation at the musical night, I made it public that I would like to start an NGO that will help indigent children in Nigeria.
This was in 2016 and this date marked the beginning of the mission of Amandine Foundation.
